By the second Thursday of June, the parking lot behind the post office on South Quebec starts filling at five. Lawn chairs come out of trunks. A cooler gets wheeled across the grass at Highland Heritage Regional Park. Somewhere near the stage, a food truck window slides open. This is the shape of a Highlands Ranch summer evening, and if you have lived here for more than a season, you already know the drill.
What most residents don't quite realize is how much programming has quietly stacked up around them. Highlands Ranch runs on two parallel summer calendars, one at Highland Heritage and one deep inside the Backcountry, and 2026 is the first year the food scene along County Line and University has caught up to it. That is the shift worth paying attention to this summer.
