6 Tips to Organize a Nursery

6 Tips to Organize a Nursery

Mom-life is award worthy, soon enough your little one will be the center of attention. The best way to stay organized with your nursery is to plan and prepare, so you can focus on your baby instead of searching for lost items you need right this moment.

1. Room for 3 major things

The essentials: Baby crate, changing table and rocking chair. You may or may not have room for extra furniture such as drawer storage or toy bins, but these are definitely something to consider when working on your nursery.

2. Containers are your friends

In the first few years babies grow out of clothing and toys extremely fast. If you have containers in the closet you can easily store the items so as soon as your baby is in the next growing stage you’ll be ready, don’t forget to label them.

3. Cube storage bins

Another great temporary solution for your closet and storage ideas. You can store clothes, diapers, or toys. And pro tip, they are easily stored or repurposed for future use.

4. Blackout curtains

Babies are on their own schedule, to help them sleep better and longer blackout curtains are an amazing addition to a baby room. Another great benefit of the blackout curtains is that they will help your little one adjust to day and night time, especially during daylight savings time changes.

5. Place for a baby monitor

Most baby monitors are wall mounted, which is a good thing to keep in mind when setting up a crib, shelves, and wall art.

6. Area rug

Even if you have carpet, an area rug might be a good idea. They are soft and comfortable for your feet since you will be walking back and forth, rocking the baby, feeding, calming, and checking on the little one. In addition, you’ll be able to sneak in quietly without extra effort if you forget something in the room.

You are about to enter a new chapter in your life, hopefully, these tips will help you with a smooth transition. Congratulations to your growing family.
